About
I'm a journalist, writer, producer, host, cultural curator and event coordinator based in Ottawa, Ontario.
My career basically began in college when I became the VP of events of Carleton University Dance Crew (Oh yeah, I can dance too). I helped lead the organization and plan the crew's events and performances, including an annual showcase that took several months to put together.
Dance gave me the confidence to pursue my real dream of journalism, and has since lead me to launch my own media company, Freegxrl Media, for which I've produced original written and video content, conducted interviews and held in-person events. The platform is dedicated to representing the underrepresented and shifting narratives, and I have since built a very supportive community.
Freegxrl Media and my love for expression is dedicated to my late mother; She saw me, and pushed my passions forward. I have always been intrigued by people and their stories, and I believe that sharing them is essential for society... The good and the bad.
